Bringing your Horse on Holiday

We are pleased to offer a DIY livery for up to two horses/ponies on our property.

The facilities include two stables in a Cotswold stone building block, a small tack room and a barn (to store hay or straw).  The stables have a courtyard which is fully fenced with gates.  There are two paddocks for grazing, situated next to the stable block, which are also fully fenced.  This area has no public footpaths through it and so is private.

Water for the horses is available from a water trough, a water butt and a spring which runs behind the stable block.  Please bring a torch when it is dark as there is no electricity.  You are responsible for ensuring the supply of hay, foodstuffs and any items for your horse.

The facilities are located in our fields about 200 yards from Juniper Cottage.

There is good riding around the Uley area as there are a number of bridleways and many permissive ways through woodland and along the Cotswold escarpment (fantastic views).

You may also find the location of the facilities convenient if you are going to attend Badminton, Gatcombe Park or any other of the many horse events in this area. 

The DIY livery is charged at the rate of £50 per horse per week (or part of a week) and is in addition to the costs for renting Juniper Cottage.
