On the edge of a friendly village, the cottage enjoys wonderful views in a peaceful location - and unlike many other holiday cottages we positively welcome well trained dogs.

Converted to a high standard, with all facilities included, the cottage has been designed for muddy paws (tiled floors downstairs and a stair gate that can be closed).  There's full gas central heating included in the cost.  Television/DVD, board games, books and jigsaws for a rainy day.  Comfy beds and a walk-in shower for relaxing aching limbs after long dog walks! A fully-fitted kitchen with breakfast area and a great little sun-trap for having meals outside.

 

Located at historic Sheppards Mill, you have the use of a 3 acre rural idyll with woodland, streams and even a small waterfall. (Please note that because of the streams, this cottage is not suitable for young children.)  There are benches for sunning yourself while forgetting the pressures of life and admiring the views.

 

The Cottage is away from roads, yet just a short walk from the village pub and community stores. There's a great village cafe with home made cakes just 100 yards away. Dogs are welcomed in the pub (one of our recent guests even took their two Great Danes!) and serves real ales and food.  There are also lots of other dog-friendly pubs in nearby villages.

 

There are great walks straight from the cottage - no need to take the car: in fact there are six public footpaths that fan out from the Mill around the valley and woods.  Indeed, the Uley valley is famous for its walks - featuring in many Guides. And from the top of the hills there are fantastic views across the Severn valley to Wales and the Malvern Hills.
